During NHSMUN 2021, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development worked diligently to understand and address the special challenges developing nations face in trying to develop the entrepeneur sectors of their economies. This committee analyzed various aspects of the issue---from using education in building entrepreneurial culture to targeting women and minorities with special financing opportunities. Over the next two days, delegates designed two multifaceted solutions and debated at length which tradeoffs to choose, whether on deregulation vs strong metrics gathering or if microlending organizations should use credit scores. Eventually, member states successfully passed two comprehensive solutions advocating novel and evidence-based policy. I'd like to thank my fellow delegates and our wonderful chairs for such a great conference.
