After listening to lecture, do you believe interest groups are dangerous
or are they a productive part of the political process in United States?

Interest groups are value-neutral: they are just a way of organizing
individuals into "factions."
An environmentalist voter holds a proportional amount of power if they
donate to political candidates and advocate independently or organize
with a group.
The same holds for businesses, farmers, and pro-gun voters.
However, they are dangerous and though they can't be limited explicitly,
the government needs to manage the power their constituent groups hold.
If businesses are consistently pushing for anti-labor policy, the
government needs to limit the power of businesses.
Their interest groups should still be maintained as a useful touchpoint
for the government.
